Sorelle, the Italian word for sisters, is an Encinitas-based women's choral ensemble, formed in 2013 by Sally Husch Dean, and directed by Michelle Risling since 2022. The group produces a unique and powerful sound, rich in integrity and heart. The life experiences of the members are diverse. Some are school choral directors teaching at the elementary, high school, and college level. Some Sorelle singers are professional soloists, participate in ensembles for their churches or synagogues, and/or perform with professional choruses. Their common thread is a love and dedication to the choral art. Sorelle's mission is to benefit charities supporting women and girls with every concert.
